Please excuse my butting into your thread but you came up when I googled 'livejournal backup'. I've just backed up my original journal (I think successfully). Do you know how I would go about backing up my comm. I seem to run into difficulty when putting in a username and password?
I'm also opening a support ticket but god knows when I'll get a response to that. Any advice would be much appreciated. Or even if you could point me in the direction of someone else who could help.
Alas the only advice I have is that you'll need to use a program-- respondents to my original LJ post suggest ljarchive from sourceforge. Here's the link to their website http://fawx.com/software/ljarchive/ It's not clear to me whether or not this would back up communities.
