Good luck. I was able to do a full import back in early February. Suspect their servers may have overloaded, but it should work for you.
I'd already imported some stuff when I first set up account, and it looks like I now have a few duplicate entries, but I' not excited enough to comb through and clean up.
So far, everything has migrated except the comments. I am guessing I have duplicates from 2013 and older, but I'm not going to worry about it. I doubt anyone will want to read that far back.
Someone on FB said that it may be a mistake to delete your LJ in case DW shuts down for some reason. Apparently there are apps that let you download journals, but that's something for a later date.
I deleted my LJ because the terms of service made me uncomfortable. Willing to live with the risk of DW shutting down, though I've been a paid member for several years as my small way of supporting an LJ alternative.
It is possible to archive the entire journal, and there are apps, though last time I looked there wasn't a perfect solution. At the same time I struggle between what is of value to save, and what is Patricia blathering on about robots, goats, beer, etc, that could safely be lost to posterity.
There have been times when I went back through my LJ to gets times/dates of things. It's been my diary of sorts. I may try to archive it offsite if possible.
Joshua is on his way over. He's currently buried under "must be done ASAP" novel revisions which landed this week, on top of day job, but getting his DW account active is on his list. I'll let you know when he's here.
