Weekend so far
Mar. 2nd, 2008 10:54 am![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
The good:
- Getting fan mail for a story I wrote seven years ago
- Getting two such letters in the same weekend
- Receiving an e-mail from an aspiring writer I'd met at Boskone who was so energized by the con that she went home and started writing again, after months of writer's block
- Receiving a check I'd forgotten was in the pipeline (renewal of Russian language rights for DEVLIN'S LUCK, thanks again
arcaedia!)
The odd:
- My sff.net e-mail is a frequent target for Spanish language spam, for reasons that surpass comprehension. Recent lessons have improved my ability to recognize key words, but it appears that spam is just as incomprehensible in Spanish as it is in English. Oddly enough, my other e-mail address is prone to Russian language spam instead.
The bad:
- Realized that next weekend is "Spring ahead" as we switch to daylight savings time.
- Picked up some kind of bug--spent yesterday feeling like crap, but today I'm going to go out and brave the shopping centers. Both nieces have birthdays coming up, so a little spoilage is in order.
