Shop local
Nov. 24th, 2012 06:23 pmOn Black Friday the extent of my shopping was a trip to the state liquor store to pick up wine to bring to a friend's house. Today I poked around craft stores and galleries, then spent serious time at an indie bookstore where I picked up a bunch of books, some for myself, some to give as Christmas presents.
I saw scenes of Black Friday madness on the news, but frankly I can't comprehend it. There's nothing I need that desperately that I'd willingly subject myself to that chaos. Much better to be home, watching as a light dusting of snow falls, and I contemplate the burning question of whether to have a cold turkey sandwich or a hot one?
