Being the goddess of planning that I am, I have chosen the hottest week of the year to finish the book cull, acquire and assemble new bookcases, and rearrange the furniture in the writing room. In a house without A/C.

We planned to... but the bookcases need to be stained... and right now they're sort of filled with books... so we can't take them out of the room to stain them... oops?

I'm replacing the badly finished and stained bookcases from 20 years ago that I always meant to restain, but never got around to, because, of course, they were full of books...
