Being the goddess of planning that I am, I have chosen the hottest week of the year to finish the book cull, acquire and assemble new bookcases, and rearrange the furniture in the writing room. In a house without A/C.

I never bought a bookcase that had to be (or even could be) secured to a wall. I suspect if I did, I would not bother, unless I had small kids in the house. Mike is right about that one! Another advantage for ebooks! -)

I've bought many bookcases over the years, but this is the first time the instructions specified securing it to a wall. Not that I did so....
