Front page story from today's newspaper:

BINGHAMTON -- The Lost Dog Café will reopen today, after being forced to close Monday when a deer crashed through a window and ransacked the restaurant.

Yeah, that sounds about right for the region. :-) (My Mom's car has hit three deer over 20 years, I believe ...)

Well what's really odd is this was in downtown Binghamton--which is a city, even if it is a small one. Though apparenty it isn't the first deer that's been spotted wandering the city streets--according to jpsorrow the deer are following the new riverwalk that leads through the heart of the city, munching on the tasty landscaping.

Hey, we get the occasional bear in Tucson (and the more frequent deer and javalina); deer don't surprise me at all. :-)
