I have been given my oldest ferret antiobiotics twice a day, every day, for a month. He is currently on one week off, then one week on, and this will probably continue for the rest of his life.
Ferrets, even fully grown, can be safely scruffed, which is good, because the only way to give him the drugs is to quite literally inject them down his throat. however, we are talking about a ferret, a creature that can seemingly make all bones disappear out of body at will, and flip out of my hands and flash under a bookcase in under two seconds.
(And since they have acute smell sense, trying to sneak it to them via food or treats does not work.)

I feel for you, I do.
