The other problem is that the bike I brought with me is a recumbent, which is fantastic for my back but not as maneuverable in general as a standard bike, and specifically a real pain in the ass on hills. The town in which we are living is, unfortunately, rather like a miniature San Francisco. So no, I haven't gotten out at all. :P
I did bike once in Ireland, when I was 19. If I'd remembered what the roads were like, I wouldn't have brought a bike at all. But now I feel sort of stuck with the recumbent, and donno quite what to do about it all.
