Crispy Patricia!
Jul. 1st, 2008 08:13 amI've returned from 4 days in Florida visiting my brother and his family. I haven't seen my nieces since Christmas, and six months means a lot of changes when they're only 5 and just-turned-3.
We read books, played games, went on walks (well Marina walked, and I wound up carrying Camila for a good portion of the nature trail.) Aunt "Papisha" still shows no signs of growing feathers so she can fly on her own, so the constant phrase this weekend was "You need help!"*
Marina and Camila both felt that a helpful robot would improve their lives. But not Wall-E since he has trash in his belly and it could explode all over the house.
Spent a lot of time on the beach which resulted in patchy burn spots. I'm putting the blame on the clear, spray-on sunscreen. I'm used to the old fashioned stuff where it's easy to see if you missed a spot putting it on.
I traveled light--carry-on only and no laptop, so I'm several days behind the world and will need time to catch up.
And now it's back to the day job in time for second quarter close. Oh what fun....
*A reference to the book TODAY I WILL FLY by Mo Willems. Sadly no pelican offered to help me, so it was left to Jetblue instead.
