2005- That Was The Year That Was
Dec. 31st, 2005 09:07 amI gleefully embrace my inner lemming as I pause on the last day of 2005 to reflect.
Like any year, there were ups and downs.
On the downside, this was the first year since 1997 that I didn't have a book released. It took far longer than it should have for me to regroup from The Sword of Change series and get my head into the next series. Having lived through this once, I'll be smarter about when and how I put together a new proposal once I approach the end of the current trilogy, which should be sometime late 2006.
That aside, 2005 was filled with milestones and great news. Here are the highlights:
In between all this, I found time to redesign my website (with technical support from
jennifer_dunne), served as programming chair for the regional romance writers conference, dealt with an emergency replacement of my laptop in mid-revisions, and completed my first book written entirely in Microsoft Word.
Finally, I joined Livejournal on 1/3/2005, and I'm glad I did. I enjoy the friendships and the sense of community on LJ, and find it hard to remember there was a time when I wasn't part of this.
Sending best wishes to everyone. May 2006 be filled with happiness and success for all.
