Having one of those days at the day job where I began responding to work related instant messages with "You won't like me when I'm angry" and ended the day with "PATRICIA SMASH!" Complete with embedded clipart.

I'm convinced that the reason Megacorp wants us to all work at home is to make it harder for us to strangle each other. If we were sitting in adjacent cubicles, open warfare would have broken out.

At least it's Friday....

Saturdays are good as well...I get to sleep in! After five days of being up and at work by 4 am, I need that.
BTW, being in my usual semi-comatose Friday night state (tired, not drunk), I absent-mindedly thumbed through my USS Constellation cruise-book (sort of like a high-school year book) from 1973. Personnel were pictured and identified by rank or rate, first initial and last name. Happened to notice a P.Bray.

Sometimes it really is the only appropriate response.

And my boss gets my sense of humor, so when he says "I know this isn't your responsibility but we have a situation" I can safely email him back "PATRICIA SMASH!" He's also a geek who let me replace the language in an annual confidential business disclosure with a Jedi oath to do no harm.

My boss is great, too. Some days, it seems like half my incoming emails get forwarded to her with notations like ARE YOU FRAKKING KiDDING ME?!?

But it's the weekend now, hooray!
