Sending good wishes to everyone heading to Chicon this weekend. And remember if you see Joshua Palmatier make sure he's had at least two meals on that day. And no, chocolate doesn't count.

When interrogated, does he lie? I mean, if I say “Joshua, have you had two meals today?” does he say “Yes” in a believable way?

He'll say "i've eaten."

Then you need to ask "What did you eat today?" And if the answer is "A fiber bar" or "I had some candy in con suite" then you need to inform him that those answers don't count and real food should happen.

Alcohol counts. Alcohol is food. I'm just sayin'.

While there are plenty of calories, it's best if you intake some food before the drinking part of the con day starts, otherwise you're liable to find yourself listing to one side in the bar, wondering why you've lost vertical hold.

I ... have heard that, yes. That too. On the other hand, ever since I read somewhere that alcohol was food, I have clung to that as a notion; and I do remember con days where I seriously doubt I ever ate. And, y'know. Bars are a very good height for clinging to.
