White House formally denies any evidence of contact with extraterrestrial life.

Notice that they are denying that evidence exists-- a suspicious mind might conclude that this is because they've already shredded it.

See, the way I read that is, Obama wants them to know that HE hasn't seen any evidence of alien life but he's not absolutely convinced that the Men In Black are not hiding it from him, too.

I had the same thought about aliens, and then I couldn't decide if it was because I was cynical or if I just have watched Xfiles too often.

And frankly, anyone who looks at Congress can find plenty of evidence to support the existence of zombies, so I think that petition will be quietly buried....
