Soon you will be able to get a Windows PC that looks exactly like a Commodore 64. It will run Windows 7 but also have an emulator that allows you to run classic C64 games.

I loved my C64, with its grainy TV display, cassette tape storage that took forever to load programs, and 300 baud modem. I've owned many a PC since those days but nothing has ever come close to the thrill of that first computer.

Oh man. I remember playing The Bard's Tale and Ultima IV on the C64 in college. (It wasn't my first computer, however; that was a Texas Instruments TI99-4/A. Still have it boxed up in the basement.)

Those were the days.

For me it was Zork-- You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.

Ooo.... Zork!

Colossal Cave was good too!

And Santa Paravia.

The number of hours I spent playing Archon (and, to a lesser extent, Archon II) on the C64 was truly obscene...
