We got a screen protector for the iPad when we first got it, but right now it's running without one. The problem is, every screen protector I've ever had starts to peel at the corners and then I end up peeling it off when it drives me batty because every single corner is tilted up. I've never had one for my iPhone and I'm doing okay with that.

On the other hand, I do think we ought to get a new one for the iPad and try again because it does help keep the grease and scratches down to a dull roar.

Which isn't yes or no, but is at least data that might help with a decision?? :)

Thanks, that's helpful. The peeling up part would drive me nuts.

Depending on what kind of case you get it (and I DO recommend the case, as much as I recommend getting one for phones, too) and what kind of tablet you have, some of the cases have the film built in, OR have a build that goes over the edges of the film to keep it from peeling up. That's how our first film lasted as long as it did, but then we changed to a smaller case for the iPad which didn't hold down the edges, and whoops, there it went.

I have an android tablet. I am in a constant battle with the fingerprints and the smudges, (microfiber cloth is your friend.) I do recommend a rigid case/cover.

I have this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005T24MVC/ref=wms_ohs_product

you want something rigid.
