You are very organised. Wrapping is my job for this evening.

It's only the illusion of being organized-- most of my gifts must be sent via mail, so most of the wrapping was actually done a week ago in order to make sure the gifts arrived on time.

Back when Christmas meant seeing everyone in person, our Christmas eve tradition was to open a bottle of wine (or three) and then alternate wrapping and toasting the holidays until all the packages were wrapped or we'd suddenly discovered the humor in taping objects to each other. I miss those days....

In this house, wrapping frequently involves sticking things to a cat. From kittenhood, Moon has been fascinated by wrapping paper, and she insists on helping.

Sigh. Wished you lived closer-- [livejournal.com profile] jpsorrow and other friends will be joining me for Sherlock Holmes and we plan on making a night of it--watching movie then adjourning for desserts and/or alcohol to rehash at length.

That sounds like fun.

The movie, judging from the trailers, will bear no resemblance to any of the stories. But, Robert Downey Jr. So. All's forgiven.

Yup. Plot would be an added bonus, but is not required.

Thanks! My nieces have *plans* for me, so who knows? Auntie Patricia may wind up last seen under a pile of cookie dough, or used as a karate target...
