Money quote: "Aside from attack capabilities, it is able to sit in waters off the coast undetected." Unless, of course, the submarine runs aground in shallow water just off the coast, where the retreating tide is expected to reveal sensitive details of its construction and propulsion.

The BBC radio news was full of faintly embarrassed naval types and amused locals. This is the 2nd time this has happened near Skye, though the first incident involving this sub.
