Suffice it to say that a good time was had by all, many books were sold, money was raised for the Animal Care Council, and fireun and her staff were awesome.

So ... what's your mystery source of purple Hershey's kisses? Do they come from the same place as the customizable M&Ms?

There was a lot of brain devouring going on.

Purple Hershey's kisses are simply the dark chocolate variety. They're sold pretty much everywhere that sells candy, and are a lovely match for the cover of THE SEA CHANGE.

I felt a bit like those big dogs you see being walked on the dog trails, who are taught to carry a stuffed critter in their mouth to show that you don't have to worry about them biting anyone. (The dog has to drop the toy in order to bite, so it gives the owner a bit of warning.)

See, don't worry about her eating your brains, she's got a donut!

*laughs* I think I'd rather eat the doughnut than the box anyway. The box would be all cardboardy and dry!
