On Saturday, June 20th, beginning at 1:00 PM, Waldenbooks and the Oakdale Mall in Johnson City, New York, will present an afternoon of fun and magic as seven popular authors join together to meet readers and sign copies of their books.

Joining local authors Patricia Bray [livejournal.com profile] pbray and Joshua Palmatier [livejournal.com profile] jpsorrow will be S.C. Butler [livejournal.com profile] scbutler, Barbara Campbell, Laura Anne Gilman [livejournal.com profile] suricattus, Jackie Kessler [livejournal.com profile] jackiekessler and Anton Strout [livejournal.com profile] antonstrout. Between them they've written dozens of books, ranging from paranormal romance to epic fantasy, young adult to gritty urban fantasy, lighthearted comedies to tales of high adventure, ensuring there will be something there for everyone.

The event will run from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, on Saturday, June 20th, in the center court of the Oakdale Mall. Those who are not able to make it to the signing may order autographed copies by calling Waldenbooks at 607-798-7452 and ask for store manager April Steenburgh or e-mail her: asteenbu AT bordersstores DOT com. For more information, see the online flyer with author bios.

There will be fun! There will be books! There will be chocolate! There will be the awesomeness of hanging out with cool people who happen to write books!

We will be raffling off something (probably not [livejournal.com profile] jpsorrow but you never know.)

There will not be fire or bladed weapons (mall security blanched at my suggestions to liven up the event, and since the police substation is a mere 100 yards from center court it was decided that this weekend is probably not the best time for me to investigate local arrest and booking procedures. Probably.)

But it's sure to be a great time, so if you're in the area stop by to say "Hi!" And check to see if any of us need help making bail.

You never know where we'll show up. Most of the crew (but not me) will be in New Jersey in August for a signing, and then there are various con thingies.

hey, i bet we could make up everyones travel costs if we sold raffle tickets with josh as the prize.

...this raffle idea, she intrigues me. drop me an email or a call. my plot gears are churning.

also, tag my name/email in there if you want, for the signed copy orders. asking for me directly at the store, or dropping me an email, will cut out any possible confusion that may occur. I have a few new kids in the store.

I'm also thinking of setting up a sale-jar. For every book I sell, a quarter will go into the pot for either the ASPCA or the local food bank...

I'll be out in the woods somewhere in northern PA this weekend, so a virtual preemptive 'Hi!' instead!
