ETA: Good day for New England continues, as New Hampshire's legislature just passed a gay marriage bill. No word yet on whether their governor intends to sign it or veto it.

New York looks dubious. The governor wants it, but he's deeply unpopular and it doesn't look like there's enough votes in the legislature to pass the bill. Sigh.

I believe the current battle in California is in the courts over whether Prop 8 was legal since it took away civil rights that had been previously granted.

Darn it... Is New York going to remain a waffle state? "We recognize as legal same-sex marriages that occurred in other places." Riiight.
