In New Hampshire this weekend, visiting Stacey and Nick at their new house. It's even nicer than the in process pictures on the web hinted at, and extremely quiet. 7 acres in the countryside will do that :-)

Stacey's trying to convince me to move up to the area. Nick has offered to refurbish the barn that came with the property into a suitable writer's retreat, or I could take over one of their guest bedrooms. There's wireless, good coffee, a wine cellar and people who like to cook.

It's a tempting offer. They're taking me out for a beer tour of the area later on, to see if they can clinch the deal.

If you're looking to be a house pet, I live in wine country, and only steps from an actual lake...

The major obstacle to any move is my book collection, which I lost track of after I hit 5K. Of course for you that would be an attraction :-)

Absolutely! Though I suspect we'd have a lot of overlap...

In considering a "new career," don't neglect your old one! That of being a writer. Friday I finished reading THE FINAL SACRIFICE and am looking forward to reading the other's in the series. I also look forward to reading your other works as well. I've just posted what might be considered a mini, and I hope favorable review on my LJ page.

Thanks so much for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

And my career as a house pet would free me from distraction of mundane tasks, so I could spend more time writing. There's just a few pesky finances that would need to be straightened out first....

Yes, house pets are allowed to write all they want. Though there's that annoying expectation of curling up on people's feet on cold nights.
