Patricia's law of submissions: as soon as you send a proposal to your agent, you immediately think of something that needs to be changed.

The internet has sped up this cycle. Writer's remorse usually didn't set in until after I'd left the post office, but now it happens as soon as I hit the send button.

Ah, well, it's gone, and there's nothing left to do. Time to take a deep breath and move on.

*laughs* I know this law well - I've been torturing myself for two weeks over the novel I just turned in. :D

Exactly! It happens at every stage of the process, so by now I've got the post-submission freaking out down to a science :-)
