Patricia's law of submissions: as soon as you send a proposal to your agent, you immediately think of something that needs to be changed.

The internet has sped up this cycle. Writer's remorse usually didn't set in until after I'd left the post office, but now it happens as soon as I hit the send button.

Ah, well, it's gone, and there's nothing left to do. Time to take a deep breath and move on.

That happens with docs at work too. "Of course you can change this; just make sure you get the required signatures via FedEx-ing it around, and then send it to me."
