Odyssey Fantasy Writing Workshop 2009

As announced on the Odyssey Fantasy Writing Workshop's webpage I'll be one of the guest lecturers for the 2009 workshop. Odyssey is well-known for both the quality of the program and the success of their graduates, and as you can imagine I was honored when Jeanne Cavelos approached me about participating. I'm looking forward to a great time.

Other lecturers for 2009 are writer-in-residence Carrie Vaughn, and fellow guest lecturers Jeffrey A. Carver, Melissa Scott, Jack Ketchum and Ginjer Buchanan.

If you're interested, the workshop runs from June 8 through July 17th, 2009. Early admission deadline is January 31st, 2009, with regular admission applications due by April 8th, 2009. Details are on their website.

It will be way cool. Plus, New Hampshire in summer is not a bad gig at all.

Not at all. They've got lakes and stuff.

Of course, lakes, I've got. Lake, anyway. Actually, can't hardly turn around without falling in one in these parts.

Looks fantastic! I wish I had the money - I'm having a hard enough time trying to find tuition money to finish my last year in college. Congratulations, though, that's a real honor! Odyssey is something I hear about year after year.

I know what you mean. When I had the time to attend workshops, I didn't have the money, and then when I had the money I couldn't afford to take that much time off from work. So I've always been a bit envious of those who went to Odyssey (or Clarion, or Seton Hill, etc.) And now I'll get to see what they're like, from the other side of the classroom.
