[Poll #1266203]
Why do I get the feeling that president's address will cause havoc for CBS's schedule tonight? Grr and argh.

In other news, while I was in Provincetown I stopped by Coffeymen where they had a display of Project Runway gowns from last season's prom dress challenge, as well as two dresses from this season--Stella's infamous garbage bag dress from the first episode and Daniel Feld's blue cup dress, also from that episode. The store staff gave me permission to photograph the outfits and even offered to let me try them on, but I contented myself with taking pictures.

I can't explain my fondness for Project Runway-- I don't like reality TV shows in general, nor am I really interested in fashion. But there's something about it that I can't resist--and not only do I tune in faithfully each week, I then log on my computer so I can IM [livejournal.com profile] jpsorrow and we can nitpick the episode together. Alas with the return of Criminal Minds, I'll have to catch the 11PM repeat of PR, and wait until the next day to dish the dirt with Josh.

my first though on hearing that Bush would address the nation: "oh hell, watch the stock market plummet even faster...."

Yup. And it's likely to interfere with Criminal Minds, which makes it a doubly bad idea.

"Excuse me, Mister President? An SF writer named EBear would like to have a few words with you about your timing..."

I think, actually, you answered your own questions as to what makes PR appealing. Anything you can snark in real time with Josh has a certain "must watch" factor.

It's the bizarre clothes! And people are so serious about it all. And it's stuff I would never wear in a million years. Though I'll admit that past winner Chloe Dao would spring to mind if I ever needed a dress to wear while accepting an Oscar.

And, as you say, the snark!

I should say that "what I want to be doing is watching TV, but what I should be doing is homework. However, what I will be doing is working at the mall."

Yeah.

:-( I will watch TV for you, and come up with many ideas on how to dispose of troublesome mall customers....

Ahem.

Ye flipping gods, I have books to write!

Yeah.

Of course, if things continue in this vein, no one will be able to afford to buy books, but still -- you'll find me in my office.

I don't watch much TV, but for the shows I do watch, they are must-see.

I picked CM because it's what I would be doing tonight if I wasn't reading queries instead. Heh. And I will be taping it to watch during the weekend, so it technically still counts.

Under no circumstances will I watch Bush.

Latest word is to expect a 10 minute delay for the start of CM-- I'd recommend setting the VCR to tape anything on CBS from 9PM till 1030PM, so that should cover it.

At least I was warned ahead of time. Would hate to have tuned in at 9PM and be startled to see Bush instead of the victim of the week.

Oh wait. I think the victim of the week is our economy. Wonder who they'll get to play the role of the unsub?

I am going to bed early.
However, were I to watch That Man, I know I would never be able to get to sleep. Not without nightmares.

Okay, how is it possible that Kenley is still there? She ought to have been tossed out weeks ago. Her hip hop outfit was ridiculous, and she's got a chip on her shoulder the size of Alaska.

This season's designers seem far more annoying than past seasons--almost makes me nostalgic for Santino.

Agreed. She dissed Tim Gunn, who's a sweetheart. I expect Kenley Must Die dot Com to be an official website at any moment now.
