The multi-talented [livejournal.com profile] jlawrenceperry has a new installment of his podcast The Adventures of Indiana Jim, which contains the interview he did with me at Balticon. It's a perfect reflection of my mental state on Sunday night at a con--my first word is "Um" and to me, at least, I sound like an earnest squirrel, which is my normal reaction to hearing a recording of my voice. Other than that, I'm very happy with how it turned out :-)

You can listen to the podcast here, and the interview with me that starts around 12.5 minutes into the show. And be sure to check out the rest of Jim's podcasts.

I'm more amazed that you have the Super Power to listen to Squirrels.

Well, since [livejournal.com profile] jennifer_dunne occasionally speaks in Dolphin, I've had to become fluent in high pitched squeaks.

What fun! :^)

I didn't think you sounded like a squirrel (though I know what you mean -- I always think I sound like a squirrel on recordings, too), but I keep forgetting about the accent ... ;^)

Thanks. Glad to know there's at least one vote for the "Not a rodent" camp. It was a fun experience, but I'll leave podcasting to the professionals.

No, you were good! :) I LOL at Devlin getting younger and hotter in the cover art as the series went on (I hadn't noticed that, just that everyone was getting nekkider) and the whole lizard conversation.

I guess having an interviewer to kind of keep you on topic probably makes it a bit less nerve-racking. Especially if you're like me and have two speeds: tongue-tied silence and full auto-babble :P.

So you're saying he already had two dolphins listening to his podcast before you called me into your office to NOT listen since as soon as word one left your mouth you hit PAUSE and started squeaking like a deranged gerbil.

of deranged gerbils ....wonders as she wanders off, regretting and resenting the loss of her question mark.
