If you're in the Albany, New York area, please come by Flights of Fantasy bookstore in Colonie on Tuesday night. I'll be there starting at 7PM for a reading/signing/booklaunch party for THE FINAL SACRIFICE, which officially goes on sale tomorrow.

It's two for the price of one, as fellow author and traveling companion [livejournal.com profile] jennifer_dunne will also be there, signing copies of her books Fugitive Lovers and Not Quite Camelot.

There will be lizards. And cookies. And a good time will be had by all--Maria Perry and the folks from LASTSFA hold the best booksignings, and I always look forward to going there.

If you can't make it to the signing, be sure to stop by the store later in the week to pick up a signed copy.

Mmmm...Lots of good books coming out tomorrow. Unfortunately, I'm in Chicago 'burbs, so I will go to [livejournal.com profile] smokingpigeon's signing, instead.
Amazon did write to let me know your book is on its way though!

Well I'm sure you'll have a good time at Jennifer Stevenson's signing. And kudos to Amazon for being helpful.

Though I'm sure my signing will have better snacks--one of my friends left the corporate world to open her own bakery, and she makes fabulous treats.

It is, and it was canceled for weather two weeks ago, which is why I want to avoid bailing on it. *sighs*

And I totally understand. I'd love to see you, but the book will still be there whenever you get to the store, and you need your writing group.

Wait, there's a genre bookstore in Colonie? And my sister-in-law's never mentioned it?

And it's a fabulous store. It used to be in Loudonville, and moved to Colonie earlier this year. Monthly booksignings are co-sponsored by LASTSFA (Latham Albany Schenectady Troy Science Fiction Association), the folks who organize Albacon each year.

It's one of my favorite places to sign books. In addition to a great selection of current and backlist SF&F, they also have gaming, which makes it doubly dangerous to the wallet.

That would explain why SIL hadn't mentioned it before, the moving.

It is a great, great place. Seriously. I've been going since Maria first opened up, years upon years ago, when it was in the one floor upstairs of the building it was in. It has moved around with a few different locations in Albany and then in hm, might've been Loudonville (Albany/Shaker and Osborne). The move to Colonie is recent. You should very definitely go check it out!

Lizard cookies?

(Oh, no. Now that I've put the idea in her head, I'll have to find a very special cookie cutter....
