October is the busiest month
Oct. 15th, 2007 12:01 amHave been delinquent in my posting, but it's been a crazy month so far, and WFC is right around the corner. Yikes!
There's been a flurry of activity related to THE FINAL SACRIFICE, which is scheduled for aJuly 2008 corrected: June 2008 release. Among the tidbits to share--
Steve Stone will be doing this cover. He did the covers for the first two books which were both gorgeous, and the cover he's proposed for TFS sounds like another winner. Steve asked for details on what people would be wearing, an area where I tend to be a tad sparing in my descriptions, so I pulled together the information and sent that off. With the usual note that I'd rather have a great cover that captures the spirit of the story than a cover that was correct in all the details but was otherwise unappealing.
I've reviewed the back cover copy, and selected the excerpt for the front sales page, so another two tasks checked off the production task list.
And the revision letter from my editor has arrived. I'm pleased that both Anne and my agent
arcaedia liked the book overall, though naturally they had suggestions on how it can be improved :-) It's tweaking level, not a major rewrite, so it should be easy to turn around in a month.
Finally feedback on the not-so-sekret project was good, so that continues to progress. Hopefully more news on that later this fall.

Date: 2007-10-16 01:47 am (UTC)WFC should be a ton of fun. Remember, it starts Thursday night with the Zombies Need Brains party. I'm in charge of buying the alcohol for that event, so naturally I've been engaged in extensive sampling :-)

As far as the zombies, of course, they must have totally pickled brains....
