*Setting: the writer's office, time mid-afternoon*

Muse: I want a nap.
Writer: No Nap. Must finish scene.
Muse: I gave you 2,000 words this morning.
Writer: That was this morning. This is after lunch. Need MORE WORDS.
Muse: Wanna nap.
Writer: No.
Muse: We've been sleeping like crap. We deserve a nap. Just a short one.
Writer: Not until we're done with this scene.
Muse: Have you noticed that this entire chapter is about people who aren't getting enough sleep?
Writer: Err, uh, now that you mention it. Okay. Short nap.
