Took today off from work and so far only managed 3,250 words. Less than I managed earlier this week when I was fitting my writing in around the day job. Troll is cranky. Taking a break and may try again later this evening to see if I can crack 4K for a day.

So far unsuccessful in inserting the phrase "In accordance with the prophecy" in the manuscript, but it's only a matter of time.

Go, You!

I took the day off, too. Only managed about 1100 words so far. But the argument is done. And it's still daylight, technically, which means that there's still a lot of time left.

I lie to myself all the time, otherwise I'd go bats.

I'm not the only one who took the day off-yay! I feel guilty for doing that for anything non-contagious, even though if I had gone in my boss + co-workers would've chased me out again. ;)

Congrats! Any word count in the thousands is good. *grin*

Now, what's the report on the evening's festivities? I saw a police car and ambulance at the event from my window. SOMETHING happened, and I'm betting you and [livejournal.com profile] jennifer_dunne were involved in some way.

A guy in the audience wasn't feeling well so they called the paramedics. He seemed okay in that he was able to stand up and get on the stretcher before they wheeled him out. Turned out the guy had been one of the volunteers who'd been putting in 18 hour days all week trying to get the venue ready. They just received their certificate of occupancy today, so it was a near thing.

The concert started late due to the excitement but was totally excellent. It's been a decade since I last saw them perform live, but they were every bit as good. Binghamton is quite a change from their usual haunts but the band seemed to be having as good a time as the audience did.

And before the show we ate at Dillingers-- the menu is pretty basic bar food but it was well done and reasonably priced.

Now off to sleep!

The concert started late.
