Can you get here from there?
Aug. 30th, 2011 01:52 pmBack from New Hampshire where I spent a day longer than planned due to hurricane Irene. Apparently someone up there likes me since despite the reports of local flooding I returned home to a dry basement.
I did see significant storm damage and flooding during my drive home, and convoys of utility trucks headed into Vermont and New Hampshire. My normal route would have taken me through Quechee and other small towns that were devastated, so I headed south on I-91 instead and then picked up the Mass pike. But even that route had its share of adventures, with the occasional detour due to washed out bridges, landslides, etc.
Now frantically trying to catch up on everything that happened while I was away, and internet deprived for large swathes of time.
