Drinks are on the house
Feb. 4th, 2011 06:26 amIt's alive! Through the mysterious workings of fate we received early copies of AFTER HOURS: TALES FROM THE UR-BAR, and are still bouncing with glee.
Joshua Palmatier gave me my copy last week (at a bar, naturally) then swore me to silence until we could present a copy to Avery Shade at our next writers' gathering. Last night Avery got to experience that first time thrill of opening a book, seeing your name on the pages, and going "Eeek! That's me! I wrote that!"
Meanwhile, Joshua and I were going "Eeek! This is ours! We edited this!"
All of which was accompanied by pizza, red wine, chocolate and beer. Or, in other words, a typical meeting of the Binghamton critique group.
For the rest of you, the book goes on sale on March 1st. Preorder your copy now--it will be the collectible of the season, and a can't miss gift for St. Patrick's Day.
