Everything I write is a novel
Apr. 27th, 2007 04:06 pmI volunteered to write a short article on character naming for STAR's newsletter. The first draft came in at 1,400 words, and it will probably run over 1,500 by the time I finish up with citations. Luckily for me the editor has a sense of humor.
In other news, the official score is Cat .75, Human .25. I've decided to give myself partial credit for administering a partial dose of liquid medicine to
jennifer_dunne's cat. I gave up before I traumatized the cat, so perhaps the next dose will go better. Both cat and I are counting down the hours until her proper monkey returns. It's much easier to take care of the kitty when she's in good health--then I just turn on the TV, find a baseball game, and she'll condescend to sit in my lap and be petted for a few innings.
Unless, of course, it's the playoffs, in which case I get too excited for her tastes. On those days she prefers the Weather Channel or golf.
