Today is a better day
Jan. 8th, 2006 09:03 pmWriting: 2,185 words today. A good day, if not quite enough to redeem myself from yesterday's sluggishness. I really wanted to finish the chapter this weekend, but it's not happening. And tomorrow's no good--day job followed by annual writer's dinner. Maybe Tuesday or Wednesday I can try to get some writing time in.
Reading: RAVEN'S STRIKE by Patricia Briggs, and BEST AMERICAN SCIENCE AND NATURE WRITING OF 2005. Neither progressing at all speedily.
Having snow dance hoping for some cross-country skiing this winter. Naturally there was great snow while I was down in Florida, but a few warm days took care of it. I'd like to get out at least a few times this year, but I need nature to cooperate. Or a trip up to Lake Placid which is one of the few places that actually makes snow for their cross-country tracks.
