Commiserations. Hope today was more productive for you.

It was. 1880 words. I'm trying for a minimum of 1250/day, so this took care of yesterday's shortfall and covered today's in it's entirety.

And tomorrow, I get to start all over again!

Stomach bug kept me from writing the past two days. Am resolved to try for 1500 words today--setting writing times is no longer working, so it's time to try going by word count.

Hope you're feeling better. I find wordcounts work better as a goal for me, except, of course, when nothing seems to work.

I am! And 1600 words today ... not brilliant, but meets the minimum I set for myself.

Word counts often don't work for me, as I do so much back and forthing as I write, revising as much as writing. But right now I'll happily go with whatever works. And it's probably good to shift the process about every so often, too.

You'll do better, I'm sure, but I'll send energy vibes your way. No wait, I need them.

I worked for a full hour on Friday, and got 146 words. Of course, during part of that time I was dealing with a small child who decided that she must sit in my lap and had screaming fits when I explained to her that I get up at 5:30 in the morning just so I can write in peace without interruptions.

108 yesterday, but I got distracted by paying bills before the money flew out of the bank account.

And I'm damned slow. My best this week was 634 on a day that I added an extra half hour. I have a friend that wrote a 130K word novel in 6 weeks. While working a full time job. The mind boggles, but then, she only has a cat.

I'm in awe of parents who are able to write. I can't imagine how you do it.

I'm in rewrites -- on a narrative poem -- on hardcopy. Wordcounts don't mean much on either level. But I did mark up about a dozen stanzas.

Which is to say, I'd play too, but I can't.
