Done! Finished! Finito! Fini! Durchgeführt!

Christmas shopping was completed this afternoon at 2PM. I think this is a personal best for me--in past years I was often out shopping on December 24th. However the migration of friends and family to distant climes means that virtually all gifts must be shipped, which forces me to finish sooner rather than later. I'm even shipping the gifts to my brother & his family, rather than trusting them to the dubious mercies of the baggage handlers and TSA.

Today was the second of several holiday meals, as I met jpsorrow and jennifer_dunne for lunch, and to exchange presents. In a fit of synchronicity, we gave each other gifts meant to liven up our writing/work spaces. Thanks to jpsorrow I am now the proud owner of the "Beer Dragon" print by John E. Kaufman. More motivation to reorganize my office so I'll have space to hang some of the art I've acquired.

Meantime, it's off to finish wrapping and boxing up Christmas gifts.
