Living your dreams
Nov. 15th, 2005 12:07 pmToday marks the official opening of Purple Awning Pastries in Endicott, New York. For years my friend Judy Ghosin talked about wanting to open her own bakery, and this year she decided the time had come to leave the corporate world and take the plunge.
At lunch today a few of us went over to visit her, sampled the offerings (yum!) and placed orders for Thanksgiving desserts. Her bakery is gorgeous, and the treats inside are amazing. You wouldn't believe the delicate swan shaped cream puffs that she was handing out as samples, they were (almost) too good to eat.
Wishing her the very best. I know I'm going to be stopping there often, and will need to increase my exercise regime to match :-)
