I need one of these

While watching Junkyard Wars last night, I realized that what I need for my new series is a land boat. Much like the Pavlovian reaction of having your significant other look at a commercial for a new pickup truck and announce that owning that truck will make their life complete and worth living, the characters inside my head spoke up and said "We need one of those."

And it took me less than two minutes to figure out where this could be used in the trilogy, and to find a plot-driven reason for having it.

Because, of course, what I really need at this stage of writing is something else to research.
