Reading: Just finished Tinker by Wen Spencer. The action was fast paced, the details of the world were intriguing, and the romance was very well handled. But it is obviously meant as the start of a series, and as you reach the end you notice just how many plot threads were left unresolved. It's the old argument of should a series book be able to stand on its own. Tinker works, but it's a close call.
Writing: Finishing off the Farscape essay this weekend. Then I need to work on the website for my local RWA chapter, which I volunteered to revamp for them. Our website was great when it was designed, but it hasn't been kept up and now it looks outdated. This is one of the problems inherent in a small RWA chapter-- the same members keep volunteering year after year until they burn out, and there's been no one to pick up the slack.
Watching: Enjoying the new show Medium, which so far is doing a nice job of balancing the psychic storylines with the heroine trying to live a normal life.
Caught the premiere of the new series Numb3rs. It was funny to see so many familiar faces in the cast, but it felt too heavily influenced by CSI and its derivatives. Not sure if I'll keep watching this one or not.
