Water wet, fire hot, people stupid

It's point out the obvious day. My head is exploding as I try to finish up projects at the day job. I haven't done anything to get ready for WFC, so all that has to happen tonight.

Today started out with a lovely conversation with colleague where I had to remind him that since I am on vacation tomorrow and Friday, this means that I will not be able to coordinate the new budget rollup that he has suddenly decided he needs. I'd thought the whole point of scheduling vacation months in advance, and then repeatedly reminding my colleagues that I would be unavailable was to avoid these type of snafus, but that's just me.

Grr. Argh.

It always hits the fan the day before vacation. It's one of those laws of nature, like gravity and bread falling jelly side down.

You'll be in Austin soon, where they have stores and you can buy most anything you forget to bring--yeah, it's a pain, but still an option. You'll see tribe and have a great time. I wish I could be there.
