Record floods, part deux
Jun. 28th, 2006 09:06 amGood news: Despite heavy rain yesterday afternoon and overnight (record rainfall in 24 hour period), my basement is mostly dry as of this morning, with only a couple of small puddles.
Bad news: State of emergency here and in the surrounding counties, due to record flooding. This record flooding is expected to exceed last year's record flooding, with local rivers cresting at 2x flood stage.
