Yes, but it's worse in a fantasy series. In a single title you can do a global search for "Grimes" but when you have three volumes you may not remember that book one had "Grimes the spear carrier", when you are cheerfully writing about "Grimes the acolyte" in book three.
Loved the interview, there were some interesting insights and it explains why TFB is so different from your first trilogy (loved it too, btw). Only something wasn’t quite clear. Are the Chronicles of Josan going to be a duology, a trilogy or a series? If so, how many books are planned?
The Chronicles of Josan is planned as three books. I'm finishing up book two, THE SEA CHANGE, right now, and then there will be a final volume, as yet untitled.
