Writing: Wrote 1,211 words yesterday, then decided I'm not certain I even need that scene. A tad discouraging, but will press onwards and write the rest of the chapter. Made a stab at organizing the notes from the current manuscript--I've fallen behind in cataloging people, places, things. I know from past experience that if I don't keep up with it the finished manuscript will have three separate characters sharing the same name, or through the magic of authorial inattention, a character will change his physical appearance every time he appears.

I'm going through that now, and I hate the feeling that I've wasted my time when I don't have time to waste. OTOH, I may be able to reuse the scene at the beginning of the book. Fingers crossed that it works out.
