Headline writing is an art

CNN's current headline is Bush urges end to cartoon violence.

This, of course, makes me think he's objecting to the content on the Cartoon channel.

*laugh* that's how I'd read it, too. :)

Then again, a couple days ago my mom read a headline that said, "Ferry carrying 1300 sinks," and Mom read it just that way. The ferry was carrying 1300 sinks. It took her a moment to parse that they meant, "A ferry carrying 1300 people sank". :)
