Organizing the computer room is on the very top of my list of things to do while I have time off over the holidays. However today is apparently not one of those days, since I didn't get a darn thing done in here. I did however manage to write and braved the stores to get in some Christmas shopping. I have high hopes that one more trip tomorrow and I'll be all done.

Writing: 2,160 words today. The damn funeral is over, and action has now shifted to our second major character, as Lady Ysobel fights to regain her former status.

Reading: Still reading FOREVER ODD.

Watching: Caught pieces of the Lord of the Rings trilogy over the past few nights, as they have been featured on the various movie channels. Think I need to make time over the holidays for serious indulgence, and watch all three DVD sets in order.

Shopping: Missing internet package arrived last night. Piles of gifts in living room, ready to be wrapped and shipped to various out of state family & friends.

Coolest toy ever: Received an early Christmas gift from [livejournal.com profile] jennifer_dunne who gave me an Executive Sandbox - Construction Zone edition. This office toy has construction equipment, sand, boulders, gravel, a rake and a shovel. Perfect for relieving stressful days and enlivening those endless teleconferences. Picture here behind the cut:

This is so totally me. No plants, no carefully arranged meditation stones. No, I go for heavy equipment every time.

You're gonna have waaaaay too much fun with that Executive Sandbox. Party in pbrays office! Hmm...you'll have to establish some sandbox rules, I can tell.

Hmm...Why can I picture you playing like Calvin and Hobbes? :-)

Now, does this mean you'll stop asking, "Do you think they'd let me drive that?" every time you pass a slumbering back-hoe?
