Christmas organization goes splat
Dec. 15th, 2005 09:26 pmI had a plan. I had a spreadsheet. I carefully wrote down each gift that I purchased/ordered. I methodically worked my way through the list, buying gifts at stores, gift cards, and ordering on-line.
The bulk of the shopping was on-line. And I forgot to add a field to my spreadsheet to indicate which gifts were being sent to my house for repackaging and which gifts were being sent directly to the giftees. Ooops.
I have many, many, many packages and boxes in my living room and am not quite sure how many more I should be expecting to arrive. Have to print off all the e-receipts and go through them to figure this out.
It was such a good system... right up to the moment it went splat.
ETA: Have completed e-receipt reconciliation. There's only 1 order coming to my house that I'm missing, everything else is already here or on its way to the intended recipient. Phew!
