No one ever told me

that part of being a published writer would involve searching the internet for a good price on metallic vinyl lizards. The things I do for my craft.

In other writing news, thanks to kaygo for the reminder that National Novel Writing Month is rapidly approaching. I know people who swear by this as a way to get their writing kick-started. Every year I think about it, but November is never a good time for me. This year I've got WFC and an out of town business trip in the first two weeks of November. But I'll see what I can get done with the rest of the month.

ETA: Yes, it's currently snowing here. On October 25th. Enough said.

(this is probably the part where I say, "But I'm in ALASKA and it's not snowing here!", except usually it doesn't snow til Halloween in these parts, and besides, I'm moving to IRELAND in two weeks and it's FIFTY FIVE DEGREES THERE AHAHAHAHAH ahem. O.O) :)

Yes! Off on a grand adventure! Through a fortunate circumstance of birth I hold dual citizenship, so we're taking advantage of that and zooming off to the other side of the world. My husband's a chef, and the culinary opportunities in Dublin are a lot more interesting than the ones in Anchorage, and there are tax benefits to being a writer in Ireland, and they have national health care, and we haven't had insurance since I got laid off... all sorts of things. But mostly: ADVENTURE HO! :)
