If you're on my friends list you've probably already seen this through mutual friends, but it bears repeating.

I challenge everyone reading this - if they haven't already - to donate at least $25 (more is good!) to the Red Cross to help in their disaster relief effort.

Then, cut and paste this in your journal and pass it on.

If the Red Cross isn't your cup of tea, visit MSNBC's How To Help for a list of other organizations collecting contributions to help in the relief.

If you can't donate money, think about donating blood. Or call up your local Red Cross and offer a few hours of your time. They need folks to answer phones, open envelopes with mail-in donations and backfill for the folks in your communities who will be heading down south to help out onsite.
