What could be better than an autographed book? How about a book personally autographed and gift-wrapped by one of your favorite authors?

In conjunction with the Magnificent Seven's* final booksigning at the Waldenbooks in Johnson City, NY, the store manager has graciously volunteered to take orders from anyone who can't make it to the signing. You can have your purchases shipped for free to your local Waldenbooks or to your home. Details are here.

The signing is on December 5th, so be sure to contact April ahead of time to reserve your books. Let her know if you want your book wrapped-- I am supplying wrapping paper, but will not be wrapping gifts due to my insistence that the correct ratio of paper to tape is 1:1, and the correspondingly high probability that I'd accidentally tape myself to the book.

I sincerly hope I will be present at the book signing, but I also hope April doesn't think I have any capabilities of book wrapping. Because, boy is she mistaken. My mother calls every year and asks if she can wrap my gifts (I suppose because it pains her so to unwrap them) - and she is willing to pick them up to do so. She lives an hour away.
